The most common types of vegetation found in most parts of Somaliland are thornbush and acacia trees. These plants are adapted to the hot and dry climate of the region and can survive with little water. Thornbushes are characterized by their sharp and spiky branches, while acacia trees are known for their umbrella-like canopies and long, thorny branches.
Other common plants found in Somaliland include succulents such as cacti and aloe vera, as well as shrubs and grasses that grow in the wetter areas of the region. However, due to a combination of factors including deforestation, overgrazing, and desertification, the natural vegetation cover of Somaliland has been significantly reduced in recent decades, and the region is now largely characterized by arid and semi-arid landscapes.
