Tilapia are a type of cichlid fish that can adapt to a variety of environments, including rivers, lakes, and coastal waters. In Somalia, Tilapia can be found in both the Juba and Shabelle rivers as well as in other fresh water bodies. They are also commonly farmed in ponds and tanks for food production. Additionally, Tilapia can be found in the coastal waters of Somalia where they migrate from fresh water sources to breed.
