Aan isticmaalno aljabra si aan u xallino dhibaatada:
Aynu nidhaahno da’da Jaamac waa x sano jir. Dabadeed, da’da Cabdi waa x + 8 jir.
Dhibaatadu waxay sheegaysaa in da’doodu ay tahay 24: x + (x + 8) = 24
Fududeynta isla’egta: 2x + 8 = 24 2x = 16 x = 8
Sidaa darteed, Jaamac waa 8 jir. Cabdi waa x + 8 = 8 + 8 = 16 jir.
