الصيام هو عبادة دينية شاملة تشمل عدم الأكل والشرب بعض الأيام المحددة على أساس تعاليم دينية معينة. يصيم المسلمون خلال شهر رمضان المبارك وذلك كشهادة على التزكية والتضحية وتذكر الفقراء وتعزيز الصبر والإخلاص. وكان الصيام شائعاً أيضاً في عدة أديان أخرى بما في ذلك اليهودية والمسيحية.
